Easy Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Wolverine Trading.

Interview

Applied online and was scheduled for a phone interview. Was mostly questioned about my background and reasons for pursuing the job. Was asked a question about rolling a die (see other interviewee's reviews). Phone interview lasted a total of about 15 minutes. I may be biased, but it felt as if the interviewer never really had the intention of learning about me as a candidate.

Interview Questions

  • What is the expected value of rolling a six-sided die? What if you got a second chance to roll, but you had to keep your second roll?   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Wolverine Trading.

    Interview

Two phone interviews. Dropped off my resume at a on-campus career fair and got an interview request by e-mail. Third interview would have been final and on-site I guess, but didn't make it.

    Interview Questions

    • Suppose I roll a dice and give you the outcome of the roll in dollars. How much is this game worth to you if I give you can roll up to three times?   5 Answers

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Wolverine Trading.

    Interview

Had a 30 minute phone interview. I was asked a few straight-forward behavioral questions, some questions on options (had listed experience with options on resume), and some brainteasers. He helped a bit with the brainteasers, but being my first phone interview, I was a bit nervous and didn't do great.

    Interview Questions

    • You roll a 8-sided dice and get the same number of dollars as the number rolled. The game has a fair value of $4.5. How would you price an option that gives you the opportunity to re-roll?   3 Answers
