I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WorldQuant in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied for summer research intern during an on-campus event. First round is an online test, including 40 problems of calculus, linear algebra, probability, basic algorithm and simple brain teasers. After that I have three rounds of one-hour phone screen interviews. The phone interviews are mostly technical (algorithm, probability and brain teasers), with some behavior questions only on the end of the third round. After that there is a on-site interview.
few rounds of interviews with different portfolio managers and researchers mix of technical, finance and cs qns from each PM but this was a while ago, so it might be different now
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WorldQuant (Taipei) in Nov 2022
Interview
There are multiple rounds of interview, and each interview mostly asked about math problems. The topics including some math proof, probability and statistics, and data structure. The traders are nice and they would guide you if you get stuck.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
prime number proof
cards probability
some green books questions
For online test, all the question are very good. It helps to check any candidates. For my question, they were statistic, maths, logical, ... I hope everyone should study hard before taking the test in order to be sure for a good result.
