    Neutral Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at YMCA.

    Interview

About a 45 minute interview. A lot of scenarios, describing strengths and weaknesses. Very long interview and you have to be prepared for different scenarios, many of the questions seemed the same only worded differently. I thought I bombed because I didn't know what inclusive meant lol, but I played it off. They want to know what your experiences are and how you will use those as a camp counsler.

    Interview Questions

    • What does inclusive mean to you?
      How are you socially responsible?
What would you do if a child was picking on another child?

    Interview

I had a brief phone interview first, basically just tell me about yourself and why you are interested in the position and then she described the position a little bit and we scheduled an in person interview for the following week. In person interview was very casual, basic questions about dealing with youth and how I handle leadership position. Third interview was on site, I mainly observed and saw what a typical day would look like. It was all very casual and the staff was very easy to talk to.
