    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Yamaha Motor U.S.A..

    Interview

I am incredibly unhappy with my experience applying for a job with this company. After submitting to a job online, I was contacted by someone in talent acquisition, and scheduled an initial phone interview. The scheduled time was for 10:30am, but I never received a call. At 11:00, I decided to email the contact, and they informed me they were tied up in a meeting all day, would be out the rest of the week, and to email them the following week to reschedule. Now, at this point I was a little annoyed by the lack of communication, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. So, I contacted them the following week, as advised, and rescheduled my phone interview. Once again, the time of the phone call was 10:30am. At 10:28, I receive an email informing me that the hiring manager has already selected candidates for the position, so there isn’t a need to conduct the phone interview. Of course I understand that this is a very early step in the interview process, but I find this small interaction extremely unprofessional and incredibly disrespectful. I can only assume the manner which they conducted themselves is a reflection on how the company is run as a whole. Also, speaking as someone who spends most of their free time searching for gainful employment, it’s very disheartening to see such a high level of incompetence from such a well respected company. I can only hope that other applicants are treated with much more respect than I experienced.

    Interview

You had to have experience of a minimal of two years to apply ,must have way to prove your employment history and experience. Very good experience, nice and understanding management that really hire based on qualifications and skills, they understood all department processes and the company offered training prior to taking the job

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Yamaha Motor U.S.A. (Atlanta, GA) in May 2015.

    Interview

I had an email requesting the time for a phone interview. The phone interview lasted about 35 minutes. Next I had two face to face interviews with my future supervisor each lasting over 2 hours and about 1.5 months apart. This was followed by two presentations that I had to make to the VP and several other department heads. The presentations involved comparing the companies products to the competition. I also had to submit two "hot sheets" on fictitious products they assigned to demonstrate writing skills and marketing creativity.
