From what i gather it seems you have trouble interviewing . You can't go into an interview feeling nervous, you have to take control and show confidence. Costco is a face paced environment and the company itself looks for individuals that can't express the qualities necessary to get the job done.
I explained my experience was in all areas of concrete construction and 2 years as a Engineering Technician where I inspected soils, concrete and asphalt various projects. I had 1 year in Construction Inspection Technology at a community college where I was on the Presidents list for academic excellence. They decided I was trainable.
Need to have the answer to this ready to go. This question gets asked at initial hiring and every time someone interviews for a new position. There is no true correct answer, just that you have an answer ready to go.
I shared my experience working with a stand-in boss who formerly had been a co-worker. I talked about how I voiced disagreements respectfully, incorporated some ideas and suggestions but stood firm on not making changes to things that were going well or that I had already tried. I mentioned that the experience concluded with a good working relationship when I promoted and the co-worker became my peer.
