Many part-time merchandisers work for American Greetings as a hobby and something to do in their spare time. How would you keep part-time merchandisers motivated.
I talked about getting to know them, so they don't feel like they are just a number. Also, talked about open-door policy, etc.
There is an "Open Door Policy" with this company, but only a policy. If you complain you will be harassed and labeled a troublemaker. The "We Care Hotline" is a cruel joke and the company's response to posted comments is always defensive and they never admit to violating labor laws or treating employees badly. If you're considering a job with this company, run away and don't look back. The employee handbook sounds great, but it seems that the managers don't read it and HR doesn't follow it.
