"Companies count on managers to make smart team decisions and oversee group members in order to maintain deadlines and keep operations running smoothly. Be prepared to answer several situational questions that will evaluate your time management skills, problem solving abilities, and ease in leading a team. Employers will also expect you to be well-versed in products and operations, so make sure to brush up on the department's relevant work."
They ask many, many behavioral and situational questions such as..."Can you describe a situation where you were put in XXXX position and you had to make a quick decision without the advantage of data or info. How did you make your decision?" OR "Explain a time where you made a decision when others didn't agree with you. How did you handle that and how did you argue for your position?"
I had prepared, was willing to indicate when I had made mistakes and what I learned.
Hello! As a recently employed Amazonian, I created a service that outlines every detail of the interview process and questions asked during my recent interviews at Amazon along with my answers (created it after seeing there were not many up-to-date good resources). You can find it here at: https://interviewjoy.com/services/interview-process-details/amazon-senior-manager-interview-questions/ Although titled “manager interviews”, the content is applicable to many roles at Amazon. It has proved to be very popular and useful for Amazon job candidates. You can buy it from the interviewjoy.com website.. (Please do not forget to check the reviews on that page to read my customers' comments..). thanks and good luck with your interviews! (and I hope you join this amazing company!) Jacob
