We spent a lot of time discussing my background and the position generally. The hiring manager seemed anxious to share with me a lot about the role to ensure that the selected candidate would be happy with the position.
Beyond experience questions, most of the discussion was about culture and fit; understanding the personality of the company and making sure it was the right place for both me and them. I think that is a very important and
discerning technique for interviewing candidates.
