What was one instance where you had to go above and beyond what was expected of you?

Almost every day I had to go above and beyond. In fact my employer didn't really pat us on the back for it because going above and beyond should be standard practice in retail. I then gave one clear example about how a customer cursed at me. I had the right to just walk away or call a manager, but instead I took the high road. I cooled off, then still helped him despite being closed. Most people aren't angry with you, you just may be their only outlet at the moment. You never know what might be going on in their lives, so never get angry back. It took real restraint to continue helping him.
