Phone Interview: The question was very open ended and related to Matrix (Basically, a form of Graph) Traversal, had to figure it out the exact requirements first and then come up with the sol. with the time constraints. P.S: I couldn't make it through the Phone Interview

4 Answers

I came up with the sol. that seems satisfactory to the interviewer, I was also successful in writing the code within the given time, to which interviewer said that it was not an easy question from any margin and good work in getting the sol. But, alas, I couldn't make it through Take: On self-assessment, I guess, I should have optimised the code more and perhaps could have improved the code quality, because your code will be something that perhaps would be reviewed later by the committee, if you haven't done too badly in the interview, in which case, you will perhaps get the early rejection. I think we can sell that pen to that person by saying that to become a successful in the co-operate sector you need to knw how a succesful person behave you need to acquire that attitude in you and have to adapt their habitat so for that you can start by buying this pen which all the succesful employees and enterpreneur uses it and u can buy it in simple EMI . Here we can convince them to buy it on EMI and tell them to take it as a future investment like we do purchase gold, land etc. Convincing them that as it is a pen so it is more easier to keep. Less

Baker Hughes

2. What interests you about Baker Hughes and the position you applied for? What about energy technology interests you? What value would you bring to the role you applied for?

2 Answers

I am interested in how BH is using technology to provide smart and cleaner energy solutions. And working as a field engineer is an opportunity for me to work downstream and be directly involved in technologies like artificial intelligence and automation techniques used by BH, and learn from a group of talented people. Energy enables us to do a lot of things, power our homes, allows us to do work, thus, empowering the economy. So, that clearly shows how important it is to have a safe and cleaner energy source production, and today half of the world's energy comes from fossil fuels. (Can't remember what I said next or in between) And so, for me it would be a great honor to be part of a project that is working towards cleaner energy for the planet. (Again, can't remember exactly, but it's something along these lines) As a propulsion engineer, I have worked with compressors and turbines, and used automation tools to improve gas compression. Since baker Hughes is using technology to improve energy production, I think that my passion for engineering combined with knowledge would make me a great field engineer at baker Hughes Less

- I talk about how Baker Hughes is diversified and I am thrilling to work with its diverse team of professionals. I also add that I love working with people that focus on achieving target together as a team. * * - I mention about current trend about the energy industry. Bonus point if you can talk on how oil amd gas industry can make use of digital technologies (artifical intelligence, machine learning, big data analytic) to maximize profit and cut cost. I am sure you will be 100% chosen for the next stage. * * - I talked about how my skills can benefit the company. Less
