Gave a date, verbally promised an offer, never got one. Bush league operation at best.
Very similar to this review. Passed first interview, given a buncha bogs numbers (salary is POTENTIAL not actual: based on Bonus and Profit sharing - You are NOT allowed to see an PnL woth cook out, yet a big % of your check depends on it) Called back and told we'd have final interview the following week. I went ahead and accepted another pending offer after a few days, but, never called again by Cook Out?!...lol... Very disorganzied ; FAMILY ran chain.. My best is advice is DONT FALL for the Hype.
My last job was only 6 months, and every job I've had before that has been in customer service.
I had an interview with OG today in my town, just about the same experience as yours...I've been out of the restaurant biz for a few years but have plenty of restaurant experience in the past, they didn't ask me about my restaurant experience at all, asked me more about a brief job I had at Walmart prior to my last job, which took when I lost a job and needed some income...I only worked Walmart couple of months and before that I worked a restaurant 6 years...they wanted to make call my references, told me they'd call my last job and Walmart...I said "don't you want to call my restaurant referrals?!?!?"...people at Walmart won't even remember me...lol
The interviewer told me that his previous assistant manager had been injured on the job when a customer had attacked her over the prize counter. He asked if I would be able to handle a situation like that.
