Before I answered, the principal explained that "anyone can think creatively if they are familiar with the material, but this question allows us to measure creativity with structural ambiguity." So, there's that. I offered several answers that I thought were pretty creative -- but incorrect. You forgot to mention the most important point" you are told that each box is labeled incorrectly. And you can look inside of each box; it's not "take one ball out." Once you look in and see if they are white, yellow, or mixed, you mentally switch the labels on the other two boxes (which you have been told are labeled incorrectly and you know which box contains the two other categories.
