What was one thing that I could specifically remember and would like to share; regarding a situation that greatly impacted an individual's life as well as mines while working as direct care worker?

I stated that when I was working at a Adult Foster Care home, I was on shift with a new staff that was untrained and relatively new with working with people with disabilities. This particular day a resident at that home fell suddenly ill after having a common and invasive procedure completed at a local hospital. Shortly after his return home he collapsed. There were 4 other Consumer's in the home when the incident occurred. I immediately took charge of the very sensitive and urgent situation by taking immediate actions to get the Consumer who collapsed the emergency care required while at the same time giving my new co-worker directions and keeping everyone calm including myself. I was able to successfully provide CPR. My co-worker was able to located the necessary items and documents needed for the medical professionals upon their arrival. The vital information i was able to provide before he collapsed and prompt administering of CPR saved his life. Less
