Vague as possible because I sensed he was conducting interviews only for free consultation purpose. If you conduct an interview, don't feel bad about not getting a single response, just monitor this company's employee list and you will note that the position was never actually being offered. Less

Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking to improve our hiring process. We do have a structured system for qualifying candidates. We are definitely not looking for a free consultation. Our process is geared towards identifying candidates that fit the job description and relevant skill sets. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a position to everyone we interview. We will definitely use this feedback to further improve and provide clarity to prospective candidates. Less

Not only do you not know what this “something” is; you don’t know who this client is, you don’t know what your relationship is like, you don’t know why they don’t want to do it, maybe it is their budget. Needless to say, there were a lot of “it depends” in my answers. My advice would be to rephrase the question and fill in the details. Respond with something like: “Do you mean how do you get an existing client of more than 5 years to buy into an aggressive online advertising strategy?” Then answer that question. Essentially ask your own questions and answer them it will be an easier way to go. Less

This is a stupid question. It is a disservice to the company to make up uninformed ideas, yet this seemed important to them. We can't discover new products without knowing what the market needs - anything else is just guessing, and that usually isn't productive or profitable. Less
