When I was working at Walmart as the Overnight Shift Stocker, I would see customer come in and get mad because they did not see an item they wish to purchase. If I see a customer having a hard time and is unsatisfied with their outcome, I would walk up to them and ask if they need any help. If I can find the item in the store I would go and get the items for the customer. But if we did not have the item in the store, I would tell the customer in a nice and clam manner, that we do not have the item in the store and is there's any substitution they would like to take the place of that item. Very often I see customer mad at the fact that Walmart do not have what they came for, especially when they call the store or check the website to make sure the item is in before they come to the store. Having been in the industry with a competitor there really was not a "difficult or unexpected question". It was really about seeing if there was a personality match and if we could agree on compensation.

It's fun selling the "big iron" for high value dollars but the sales process is long and you only get 50% of your commissions when you get the purchase order and then the other 50% when the equipment is installed, which can take several years if it's going into a new hospital. This is typical for all imaging companies GE, Siemens and Philips. Less
