When handling a call with an irate customer, first thing I do is to remember that they are not mad at me but at the situation in place. I try to put myself in their shoes and recognize their concerns. It is easy to forget that we are dealing with human beings when taking so many calls at day but I take special care of this customers because something is happening in their life to make them act this way.
