If I thought I would be a good fit for the position, and I would fit into the MGH culture.

I answered yes to the interview question. I thought the question was a good one because MGH has standards of behavior and dress that many independent contractors might not care for. Even though I am an independent contractor, at certain times I feel like an employee because I required to wear their logo clothing, and follow the dress code, attend meetings, and I do not get breaks during my shift. Is that legal? You don't have breaks during your shift?

They like to throw out some odd questions as well such as "describe yellow to a person who is blind" and "a penguin walks into the room in a sombrero....what does it say?"

I don't remember

Yellow is a warm, exciting, friendly color. I would paint the picture in words, for example, "imagine you sit next to a fireplace or at the beach. You can feel warm from the fire or the sun making contact with your face. You will feel relax and peaceful, but you energize by the ray or warmness." That is what yellow in words. And then, the Penguin walks in with sombrero..... and we might just have to greet it no different than the other. Make it feels welcome to our place. Give it water or ice cream, and make it feels like Northpole. Less
