Goldman Marketing Group

Will you design a couple comps for us so that we can access your skill? It’s always a huge, red flag when companies ask for free comps in order to “make a decision” whether to hire talent. Goldman Marketing Group is no exception. After being in business for over 5 years you would expect them to be more adept at working with design talent. If a company can’t make a decision based on an existing portfolio and a resume, how can they be expected to make other business decisions? It’s a poor choice to treat talent as a commodity rather than as a potential team member that will ultimately attract and retain business for the company. Poor communications and little to no respect for talent earns this company a big thumbs down.

GMG's biggest value is a group of talented people. When we seek for a new team member or a contractor we always look for a right fit and a good vibe first. That's why our recruitment process has many steps and takes time. We believe in equal opportunity for all candidates that's why on one of the final stages we ask to participate in a working interview, during which we assess technical knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills. Any seasoned designer knows how crucial is to understand a creative brief and to ability to follow instructions - this is what we want to assess. Less
