    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ibibo (Bengaluru (India)) in June 2015.

    Interview

4 rounds of tech, and 1 HR round. It was an employee referral for me. After sometime, I got a call from their recruiter, who promptly scheduled a interview. It was in the evening, and the interviewers were all young and great. I met with HR also subsequently , and she was very encouraging, and inquisitive. Overall very good first impression, and as a candidate, the HR will make sure you join the team.

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ibibo (Bengaluru (India)) in September 2014.

    Interview

Applied through consultancy. Application process was smooth. The position was for senior Python developer.
    I reached office before HR.
On reaching there they handed out a paper with 3 questions to solve.
    I was expecting f2f.

    Interview Questions

    • Q1) given an array with [2,3,-3, 4, -4, 5,6, -6,-5, 10]. Output array should be consecutive string where sum is 0. output [3,-3, 4, -4, 5,6, -6,-5].
Q2) write an alogrithm for snake and ladder.
Q3) Design an ORM with MySQL. A table is given with 3 col, a,b,c.
      ORM requirements were,
      1) it should be able to create table, create columns, update columns, etc.
      2) How will you copy db schema from one dev machine to another

ORM should be able to do following things.
      1) a = new A(1). it should return row with primary key=1
      2) a = new A(1,2,3). It should return row with a=1, b=2, c=3
      3) after doing 1 and 2 I should be able to update value of b. It means a.b = 4 should set column b = 4
      4) del a.b should delete b col of a and del a should delete a row.

The last ORM design was very confusing. I asked HR for clarification who in turn asked an employee. From his explanation I know he didn't write the questions. He told me to write queries and code for design. I didn't expect this. In design question I have to write code.

The position was for Python dev. The syntax a= new A(1). is not from Python.

In 1) a = new A(1). is expected to return row. but in 3) and 4) it should be an instance where we can do any update and delete operation. In 4) they are asking to delete col b for a.

In 2) it can returns a list of row. So in 3) you can not do a.b =4. No one was there to clarify such questions,

The requirements were all confusing. The last question was poorly designed.   Answer Question

There was a telephonic round in which there was basic objective c questions .

Then i was called for a f2f round where first round was a simple basic objective c questions like categories and their use ,design of a calculator according to MVC .Interviewr was cool and calm.

Thes secound round i believe was a data structures round where i was asked questions on data structures and few puzzles.interviewer was really patience and helpful.

The third round was taken by a lead who i believe was accompanied by an HR .He spent almost 15 minutes on the resume and was determined to find mustake in it .he asked a lot of questions on objective c and a few puzzles .
For a lead he sounded really nervous and even took my resume in the lift .i was then told to wait for the round which was to take place after half an hour however he cam back after minutes to inform that i can leave for the day

I was told after teo days that review was not positive which was surprising result to me !
