Try to get as much information as possible to figure out the problem, get help from a manager or coworker if needed. Let the customer know that it can be resolved and explain what I will do to resolve it. Less

First of all I would give them my undivided attention. Second I would find out their name and use it in talking with them. Third I would have them tell me how they feel about the experince. I would hear them out fully without interupting. I would then confer with my boss to see the best way to handle the issue and make make ammends for the experience. Less
