First of all, I will ask him regarding on the practices that currently being practiced by him. I will discuss with him on the posibilities of risk that can be occurred and how he can manage and control it. If the control is adequate enough, I will highlight and report it to the Management regarding his best practices and controls. But if he cannot answer me on the controls on how to mitigate risks that we highlighted before, I will highlight to him the implications and the consiquences of my assessment/finding. Or I will put it in the report and recomend to him whether he will require to comply the procedures or change the company's procedure.
Only after the employee has been advised verbally of the issue, written and documented of the corrections necessary with appropriate time to correct, and when it is absolutely the only remaining option.
First, I believe it is important to have a lead or supervisor at each site so there is some type of on-site leadership. I also rely on that person to communicate needs and issues bidirectionally so they are handled promptly. Even though I cannot be there physically every day, I schedule regular meetings with staff and physicians to discuss bigger-picture issues.
Don't be so specific that you could only see yourself working for one prof. Read up on the faculty, pick out several you like and then widen your answer to potentially include any of them. Read up on these subjects beforehand so you can ask some intelligent questions about the research projects and see if it is what you really want. Be sure to talk with the profs at recruitment weekend!
I didn't find any question particularly difficult or unexpected. If forced to chose one it was when she asked how I would react to C-level executive/s shooting down a concept I developed for a seasonal campaign.
I explained that I would be okay with that. That said, I also explained I am diligent and if I felt very strongly that the direction I was offering was paramount for the direction/growth/evolution of the brand, I would fight for it.
