On a clock, what is the difference in the angle of the minute hand and the hour hand when the clock shows 3:15. 5 Answers You can answer this question a number of ways with trig. But the simplest way is to think about it. a Circle (clock) is 360 degrees. A clock as 60 mniutes on it. 360/60=6 degrees per minute If the clock reads 3:15, that means the hour hand is on the 3, and the minute hand is 1 minute past the 3. Therefore the answer is: 6 degrees The minute hand is front of the hour hand. The answer is simply, ZERO! Show More Responses If a clock reads 3:15, then the minute hand is on the "3" (at zero degrees given a standard unit circle configuration). The hour hand is a little ways past the 3, a quarter of the way to the 4. There are 360/12= 30 degrees in each hour section. Since the hour hand has advanced a quarter of the way through the 3-4 hour section, 30/4= 7.5 degrees. So the hour hand is at -7.5 degrees and the minute hand at 0 degrees. There is a 7.5 degree difference. 6 degrees

You are in a room with 3 switches which correspond to 3 bulbs in another room and you don't know which switch corresponds to which bulb. You can only teleport to the room with the bulbs and back once. You can NOT use any external equipment (power supplies, resistors, etc.). How do you find out which bulb corresponds to which switch? 3 Answers check bulb heat .. The requirements say that you can not use any external equipment, but it fails to say that you can not use any of your fellow co-workers to help you. Have one of your fellow co- workers stand in the room with the light bulbs holding 3 pieces of tape (Red, Blue and Green). You stand in the room with the switches and place a different color of tape on each of the 3 switches. You tell your fellow co-worker you are flipping on and off the red switch and when the corresponding bulb in the other room begins to flicker, your co-worker will place the corresponding color of tape(Red) next to the bulb. Do this for the other two bulbs and you will have figured out which switch corresponds to which bulb. Turn on the first switch then wait say 5 mins and then turn it off. Leave the second switch off and turn on the third switch. Teleport and then touch the two bulbs that are off. Whichever is warmer is operated by the first switch. The cold bulb is operated by the second. The lit bulb is operated by the third switch.
