there are 100 bags, each contains 100 iron bars except one that contain 100 gold bars. give you a scale, how to identify the special bag by weighting only one time?3 Answersa classic brain teaser...nice contribution!!!! except the fact that you don't know answer cause it's impossible.... but you can reduce the possibility to 33 bags weighting 33 against 33 and giving 34 outNo, take out one bar from first bag, 2 from second, 3 from third, ect. Then weigh the lot. You will be able to calculate out the gold bag by how much the difference is from all iron bars.

How to measure the hight of the building using Barometer4 Answersuse speed of sound calculaiton, physics formaula force distance mass, etchttp://www.esmerel.com/circle/question/building.htmlDrop the barometer from the top of the building and note the time it takes to fall on the ground. Now acceleration = g = 9.8 u= 0 s = 1/2 g(t*t) Assuming, if the time it takes is 5 seconds s= 1/2*9.8*25 = 122.5 mtrs.Show More ResponsesBarometer measures presssure. At low altitude above sea level pressure drops by 1.2 kPa for every 100 meters. Measure pressure at base of build. Then at top of building. Based on the difference in pressure figure the height of buiding

Read in text from a text file or stdin and tally the most common words. Output, in order, the most common words present in the file.2 AnswersThis isn't particularly a hard problem. They asked me to implement it in C++, but that was ultimately my choice, not theirs. One word of caution. If you get an easy question like this, presume it's intended as a starter, and that they want you to finish it as soon as you can.How did you do this ? It is not that straight forward in C++ considering an efficient solution would require using a hashmap and storing the words as key and their count as values. In the new standard you will have to use unordered map to accomplish this. In python, this is way too easy. No wonder they wanted you to do it in C++.

Can you talk more about symmetric vs asymmetric encryption.2 AnswersMost of the questions that the recruiter had were vague, especially when it was advertised as an operational role.- symmetric encryption uses the same (secret) key for encryption and decryption; asymmetric - two different ones (public and private) - symmetric key is shared between communicating parties, which makes key distribution hard to scale (for N parties to talk to each other they need to estalish secret key for each possible pair - N-square problem) - asymmetric keys are easier to distribute: one keeps one's private key and publicly distributes the corresponding public key - symmetric crypto is typically stronger than asymmetric one for comparable key sizes - symmetric crypto is typically faster - it is common to use symmetric crypto to encrypt plaintext with some random (session) key and then pass this key encrypted with the recipient's public key - one can go on and on for hours - it is a vast subject
