We want to sell our furniture by room and increase sales how would you approach this problem?

Actually, this the final round interview level question and it is interesting to answer. This would be 30 min at least exercise The framework to put here is: Test the fact such an idea will increase sales Test the possible ways how it will increase sales. So look into two scenarios: as-is with a new sales option (sale by room) Start analysis with a new idea: - Define a buyer profile. New channels to sell B2B (hotels, EB&B). - Possible partnerships and long term contracts - LTL shipment - Most of the sales are in large cities, not rural areas - cheaper rates - Option to sell the successful design ideas, - Good for marketing as celebrities can be put into marketing - whatever else you will come with Identify the as-is option as the baseline with possible B2B but not able to fully satisfy a new type of buyer. Come with a hypothesis: The new idea to sell by room will increase the sales due to new selling channels and partners with competitive shipping rates and higher margins and/or discounts. Quantify the idea (come up with the new market share for the US) Number of hotels, RB&B x number of cities x conversion rate x average price for the room furniture DONE! Less
