I would suggest a lot of counseling. Not just a supervised visit. The child depending on the age and depending on the progress of the father will need to learn to forgive as well as not imitate the fathers behavior. This is a tough question as I am dealing with a similar situation right now . And quite frankly all my family has learned is if you’re a good enough liar you get away with anything. A common phrase I’ve heard from multiple workers is fake it til you make it. It’s very difficult to get abusers to be honest. And until they are honest it’s very difficult to get them help.
