I never dealt with a serious crisis during my shift but I have dealt with numerous anxious patients who afraid to undergo scanning. To deal with this, I would spend time talking and calming them down. Less

If I do not know the answer to a question, or if I feel uncomfortable during a certain procedure, I ask someone with senior level experience so that the highest level of care is delivered to our patients. I would first analyze the situation to put myself in a position to effectively come up with several solutions. Then I would weigh out my solutions based on effectiveness, efficiency, and best outcome. If I still could not figure it out or just simply wanted to be sure I chose my best option I would turn to a peer for advice/help. Less
