Road Rebel Global

I blew it when asked if I would be okay with working in a different timezone for a while. Although I work in and deal with several, I'd just gotten off a call with Lisbon and confused zones in my response. When I told my daughter whom works with 12 countries and all US timezones, she said, "I wouldn't hire you." We laughed and both agreed that if it was meant to be, it would.

Corporate Traveler

Have you ever lied to anyone?

Since the company is very sales focused and money is made on marking up airline tickets and hotel charges to customers, I realized that the company doesn't want someone who is afraid to fib because you have to be somewhat evasive if a traveler asks you questions about how much the ticket or hotel really cost. The company obviously wants an overall honest employee--it's just when it comes to sales or promoting certain products, then you have to be ok with fibbing to the customers. So, I answered that overall I am an honest person, but on occasion I have fibbed to a friend or family member that maybe a dress they wanted to buy looked good on them or fibbed knowing something (such as a piece of bad news) because I didn't want to upset them.
