Sadly i have done this with a small finance company where you go in and get a small loan and pay in payments its different from a Pay day loans - I had to go to different parts of different towns and drive 30 minutes away from my job - and hope and pray that nobody would pull a gun , knife , etc. Thankfully most of the people were very nice - some were a little irrate but once they figured out i wasnt like the other co-workers that i had at my job and that i was down to earth and recongnized the situation cause i could relate. They toned it down. Some were just trouble makers and wanted to call my boss and tell lies. I was talked to and then it came to the conclusion that I would just not talk, deal or go to here house anymore. Problem solved. Some of the customers on the phone when you call your always going to have 1 or more person that is just not wanting to deal with the fact that they know they are behind and yet you are down their throat. I think you end up going to the houses and knocking on door mostly when they are WAY behind its not like they are 3 days behind - The manager i talked to with Aaron's told me that they do it every day however, my dad has an account with Aaron's and honestly they have NEVER gone to his house when he was having issues with his payments. and he changed phone numbers and he didnt tell them until a little later on.
I gave them my current salary, at which time they offered me about 45% less in overall compensation. $25k less in pay and about a $15,000 loss in medical no 401k matching for "Project" level employees, only "Professional" level employees.
