They pretty much went over my resume. I know I was asked what I preferred more, editing or on-site production.

(Not an answer...) But other than that, the only other question I remember specifically would be, "what's your favorite project you've worked on and why?" Less

What was the editing task/test that they gave you?

It’s more like what did you edit or write about.

You're resume seems over qualified for this position, why are you interviewing for such an entry level (woman yawned) position?

3 Answers

Well, the woman yawner can't spell (you're resume? How about your resume?). And it's not the resume applying for the job, it's an applicant. I am really getting sick of our increasingly illiterate society and all the typos I witness on a day-by-day basis. Sheesh! Less

I like to help people write right. So many people these days are well versed in STEM academics and have no understanding of our national language. Fortunately, there are people like me who know the concepts of spelling, grammar, punctuation and, generally, how to write. It's becoming a lost art. Less

Well, I have always wanted to combine what I thought of as a fun hobby into something that generates income. It would be quite a combination for me. Less

Goalcast

They asked me really bizarre personal questions, absolutely nothing to do with the job. They also seemed very rushed and wanted me out of there asap.

Did you like BYU film school?

2 Answers

I liked my education, but didn't like the production track politics.

What's the deal with the BYU preference to candidates? Seems like it's not an Equal Opportunity Employer. Less

Can you come in for an interview on ___ Day

2 Answers

Was asked to come in for an interview on a day that we had agreed would work for both me and the company. When getting to the interview I find out that the person interviewing me isn't actually there so they asked me to wait in their conference room. While waiting I realized that the woman who had set up my interview wasn't there either and that the company was completely unprepared. I interviewed with the senior editor and she was even more unprepared for the interview. Needless to say it was very awkward and uncomfortable for both of us. After that was told I would hear back in 48 hours. Its been over a week and I haven't heard any communication from neither the company nor the employee who set up the interview. Would not waste your time on a company who doesn't care. Less

Groundhogs' Day would be great! I did all the heavy lifting for that film. The first "ending" with everyone killed was the first attempt using the "audience reaction" of the juvenile screenwriters present at my feet. Then, the second, then the third, and fourth, fifth, and so on until we had an appropriate ending with the mature theme that life requires preparation and hard work to become a person worthy of appreciation or even adoration, like me. I play a musical instrument beautifully, for instance, and I have played with time. Now, I can cure 31 human idiopathic diseases so far with the prospect of curing all the behavioral and autoimmune diseases that trouble mankind. Good things come to those who practice, practice, practice, with a goal and truly great human achievement in mind. Less
