Waitress Interview Questions

Express that you're sorry and get a manager.

Mostly it can be anything, school related, just do a good answer.

Mostly give them something that happens every week until a certain date, like for me I knew I was going to be busy on thursdays from now since my interview, so she knew every week I wouldn't be able to work on a thursday.

I understand that comes with this industry, and I'm willing to do that.

To be a waitress/server, you have to have experience serving, or else you start as a greeter. I fibbed a bit about having true serving experience but I did work at a pizza parlor for 5 years so it kinda wasn't lying. So I just made it sound like I had all this serving experience down.

I have 13 years working in restaurants, primarily as a bartender and manager; however, the task of being a server is one of the hardest positions as you directly work with the guests. This is why I believe that once you are a server you're always a server. Whether I am behind the bar or managing the dining room, I make sure that I remain knowledgable on our menu, the company policy and remain aware of any concerns of the guest. These are all standard practices for servers, yet they cannot be lost sight of at any position in the restaurant.

Customer service experience, money handling skills, reliability, honesty, strong work ethic, desire to please, etc.

I love this restaurant- the food, the service, the atmosphere. I want to learn from the best servers I've encountered in the industry. I feel those skills will help me professionally and personally. And I'm looking for more growth opportunities.
