How would you handle someone on your team who wasn't pulling their weight?

1 Answer

After working at Rackspace for a while, I can tell you this: No all admins are busy in the same way, or at the same time. If you indicate that you are going to have a problem with others being less busy than you, then you are likely not going to fit well. Perhaps you should indicate that you would like to see your team perform well and would look into whether that person simply didn't have any appropriate work to do without causing an incident. For example: If you are a Linux admin and you notice a Windows admin not as busy ... it may simply be there are not as many requests in the Windows team work queue.
