I have been working at 7 Layers full-time (More than a year)

The best reason to work at 7Layers is the people; good friends to be made at 7Layers. Additionally, there are employees with incredibly unrated talent that go unnoticed, day after grueling day.

The top-level managers within the US division like to band-aid many of the problems within the organization. There are no real changes, no real resolutions to deeply ingrained problems that trickle-down from the highest ranked US employee. Top management is good a making promises and terrible at following through on them. This is a daily routine. Additionally, the hypocrisy runs wild. The mistakes made by top management are sophomoric and bleed their way through every employee level like a cancer.

    Advice to Management

Identify current employees who have actual experience and skills in their jobs and promote them to leadership positions, rather than moving friends or keeping employees by giving them more responsibility. Listen to employees concerns and then rather than debate and defend previous action, think upon what's been expressed and research it. Then follow up with the employee(s) who've expressed their concerns. The company is not an MBA project to be experimented on, it is the livelihood of many employees; completing an MBA does not make you smarter or better than your employees. Stop thinking like you are smarter and you will get out of your own way of being a good leader. When the company is struggling financially, don't be a hypocrite by telling everyone that they have to be tighter with finances and careful with expenditures, and stop all travel, when top management is driving around in company provided Lexus' and BMW's. These are unnecessary high-end vehicles that are expensive and cost the company money monthly. I don't see any customers riding around in these vehicles...just top-management. This should change. Discontinue immediately the "good ole boys club" mentality about management selections. This has aided in getting this company nowhere. The company is falling apart because the teams are falling apart, because the individuals are falling apart. This is all due to poor leadership throughout the US organization.
