I worked at Aerotek full-time (More than 3 years)

Aerotek prides themselves on development. As far as company culture, they have hit the nail on the head. I loved the environment and I was definitely wanted to continue pushing myself to be better because of the exceptional talent that surrounded me. They is great internal mobility and if you want a promotion, you have to work hard, but the chances to move up are great. Aerotek is progressing rapidly and they are always creating new roles in areas that demand them. They are by far the best staffing company to work for. If I ever decided to go back into staffing, Aerotek is the company I would work for, hands down.

The work itself can be daunting. If you are a recruiter, which most people are when they start, the work is hard and it is a highly competitive environment. If you are not a competitive person and are not a good team player, this will be a really tough environment for you. There is high transparency between where you stand compared to other recruiters and you have to have a thick skin. Recruiters typically tend to go through a 6 month burn out phase, but if you have a great team supporting you, you can make it through those lulls no problem. The work can be monotonous and it can be hard to realize that some things are just outside of your control. You have to be able to just pick up and move on to the next thing and not dwell on situations you can't control.

    Advice to Management

Keep working on being flexible and innovative. Aerotek and their changing abilities in terms of the roles that have been developed over the years have allowed for them to remain a strong competitor in the staffing and recruiting space. To DBO's (Directors of Business Operations) I would say to make sure you really know the market that your offices are in. Each market is different and what is working in an A+ market won't necessarily work in a B or C market. Other then that, Aerotek truly is a great company!
