    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Amazon.com full-time (More than 5 years)

Lots of opportunities to be innovative and create solutions to problems. Freedom to try ideas, Benefits are fantastic, stock awards are great. looks good on your resume.

Below average wage, they try to say that because of all the extra benefits that you are actually making x when your actual money that you take home is really y. The culture is one of get it done and make sure it works later, seem to spend a lot of time trying to assign blame instead of fixing the problem. Abuse of salaried employees during the "peak season" which is from Mid Oct to Christmas Day. It is expected that you work in some cases 80 hours a week! THAT IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION! You get issued a laptop and are required to have a cell phone and you are always logged in even when you are home on your "days off".

    Advice to Management

Stop being so laser focused on yourself and your own advancement and try to give guidance to your staff. Stop leaving them out to dry simply because they are not a part of your plan for promotion!
