Avaya – Los Angeles, CA
/Accountabilities): • Provides business and technical consulting services by recommending solutions to client’s network and other enterprise-wide… Avaya
I have been working at Avaya full-time
Work from home (more time to look for another job) Some dedicated employees who truly care and want this company to do well (getting far less as more people are looking out for themselves with the lay offs) Loyal partners (some have no choice as their business is built on Avaya) Avaya Stadium (looks cool and we got a Suite) Decent technology platforms for Enterprise/Midmarket customers (legacy-base) Leader in UC/CC space (says Magic Quadrant) Google partnership (how were we even able to get our brand next to theirs?)
No bonuses Lack of competitive benefits (no 401K match) Constant restructuring No long-term strategy Quarter-minded focus Re-active to market trends and emerging technology; always late to the party
Advice to Management
Stop changing the wheel. Stick with a plan for at least a year. Progress doesn't happen right away.
