Retirement plan is good, lots of paid holidays, job is not demanding from a clinical perspective. Sits in a well-landscaped environment.
All of the worst stereotypes about government inefficiency and lack of motivation for union workers is true. There's no reason to care about job performance. Bonuses and non-time-based raises are issued completely at random (or to management favorites). Management wastes money on cosmetic improvements, while having no idea what the left hand is doing.
Advice to Management
Start communicating with each other. You have almost a complete leadership vacuum, and some members at your highest level make decisions based on personal feelings rather than best practices or even fiduciary duties.
