BGA employees are very passionate people, and it's an easy work environment. Everyone collaborates with their coworkers, and there is a strong activist network in San Francisco.
BGA spreads itself too thin by having an organization-wide stance on every conceivable environmental issue. They probably don't allocate grant money in the most effective way, by choosing a couple of initiatives to do well.
Advice to Management
BGA should choose a few projects to work on, intensively, each year. Perhaps BGA could form partnerships with other nonprofits to achieve these goals, as well.
