Employees are frequently asked to "donate" time for group meetings, CEO updates, safety drills, and general non-project, overhead activities. Company should be paying employees for these. Project meetings are held over lunch hours to avoid labor charges. Cheaper to provide pizza than pay labor.

Quit glossing this over. You say you value the employee, do the right thing for your staff.
