I worked at CVS Health full-time

Flexible hours, marvelous discounts especially with bringing numbers up very encouraging, and Associate development.

Extensive endless modules, deceptive career opportunities regardless of competency. Cut spending. More work less staff. The best offense is a good defense. If you work with the right SM and DM you will be just fine. Bad bosses lead to bad engagement and development. I've seen so many store managers and district managers it's unstable. Cut spending how much more do you have to cut? Give these people hours back! Give the store managers at least cushion of finishing tasks effectively with of course approved overtime allowance for supervisors. High volumes stores especially. Show that you really care for the people that work for you.

    Advice to Management

Bring back assistant manager position. It is completely repugnant for a supervisor to jump up as a store manager. They need some experience as an assistant manager before they reach that higher level. Give people a chance for career development in advancement! We want to do better not just for ourselves but for who we work for. The pay isn't the greatest but it's retail we can't go much further I understand. However, the annual review of competency highest level is 6%. That is very discouraging for empowerment. We don't want to see 25 cents more we want to see a dollar more. Something that will entice us to succeed in the company. We are valued by whom will demonstrate good behaviors of acknowledging the best candidate in their store. Bring back employee of the month. That was neat a picture on display and a decent reward of compensation.
