Amazing clients, nice, smart colleagues, interesting work.
The owners of this privately held firm are most interested in maximizing profits for themselves. Over many years the majority of the MD level employees have felt underpaid and under appreciated. This has resulted in an undertone of unhappiness at this firm. There is a "sweep it under the rug" culture here. There was a known trade off between salary and quality of life here but that is now a myth, which has added to unhappiness. I believe this has resulted in Cambridge being less competitive these days than in the past.
