I have been working at Carestream Health full-time (More than a year)
Some truly talented and motivated colleagues. Lots of interesting technology and products. Good salary and benefits. Have enjoyed coming to work each day. In the right hands, this company could thrive.
Carestream seems to be a bunch of individual businesses cobbled together without much thought or direction. Senior management has a significant cultural problem on their hands and yet does absolutely zero to specifically address that which is plainly obvious. Who the heck has forced rankings anymore? CEO is more technically capable and tuned-in than most, but he doesn't seem to understand how to cultivate people and inspire others. There is huge uncertainty plaguing Carestream's future, and little effort to secure its long term future. Way too many ghosts of Kodak weighing this company down.
Advice to Management
Lose forced ranking immediately. No one benefits from it, and everyone hates it. It would immediately restore some faith that executive management is listening. Stop whining about foreign exchange and provide some vision for the future. Make some tough decisions rather than letting the prevailing winds blow this company around.
