I worked at Cedar Fair full-time (Less than a year)
Free access to the park, four free passes for friends or family, parties at near by bars and apartments.
-Pay sucks, I was only making $7.55/ hour as a line cook at Famous Dave's, most positions were 7.40, and none of the seasonal positions pay overtime, even for employees who worked 84 hour weeks; however, there are some cedar point jobs off the island which aren't considered seasonal so they do pay overtime, and I think they make a little more per hour also, and Panda Express pays better as as well. Also, tipped employees did pretty well, so pay sucks for most but not all -housing kinda sucks. I was staying in an apartment with fifteen other guys. We had five rooms, and I stayed in the room with two bunk beds. We had two bathrooms, which was okay, because we worked different schedules, there are two hot water heaters, so I usually got a hot shower. The front of the apartment was the community room, with a small tv,(basic cable)a basic couch, a small to mid sized table, short counter,(fits a microwave and a toaster) a regular double sink, a stove top,(no oven)a fridge, and a trash can. My apartment was 28$/week, taken directly form pay check, if you bring an ac unit, I think it's an extra 5$. The dorms by me were 35$ and included ac. Those are3-4 people per room, no fridge or stove. - Stupid policies No visible tattoos, no unnatural hair colors, no mohawks. No liquor(beer and wine is fine) in apartments. No smoking in apartments, no drinking outside of apartments. If you snitch on someone for using drugs, they will be tested, and if they fail, they are fitted and you get paid 200$, which creates drama.
