I have been working at Centric Consulting full-time (More than a year)

The best reason for working at Centric Consulting is that it really is an entrepreneur like environment. You are in complete control of your career. You are treated with respect and work along with some very talented individuals in the industry.

Beware how much you want to be a consultant. You are at the mercy where the contract you are working. Centric is strict with your hours so if you are set with your contract to work full time or 40 hours a week, that means that you MUST full fill those hours. This includes if you go to even a Centric meeting, you have to make up for that time outside of the 40 hours. They speak about a work/life balance but it is hard to do when you are pressured to full fill your contract hours, attend all meetings and also as part of your yearly reviews, volunteer your time towards something toward the company and your team. If you work more than one contract at a time, time tracking is essential and you must be accountable for all of your time for every 15 minutes and describe what you did during that time.

    Advice to Management

When it came to the corporate meetings, it was easy to feel pumped about being a part of the Centric family. I did see that there seems to be a lot of competition between the BUs. Along with that, balancing your time needed for contract/Personal Development/Volunteering Time and work/life balance is nearly impossible. Doing your timesheets in itself was stressful and always having to do overtime just to be able to account for the contract hours and company meetings really didn't play along with the company's moto of the importance of work/life balance.
