I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (Less than a year)

Great benefits Weekends off if you are in the right department decent pay casual dress code get a 50 cent raise every 6 months met some nice people

Only had one week of training, that didn't include practice calls or using the software too much. After that, you are thrown to the wolves. Constantly getting calls about things you are not even trained for. Although the pay is decent, it's still not enough for what we have to deal with. There are two departments: Internet and PRISM TV. After being hired, we were informed that we must train for PRISM, which, instead of having weekends and holidays off, is open 24/7 and the schedules are horrendous. People are known to work 8 days a week after moving to PRISM. I believe they were deceptive before hiring about how many employees schedules would actually turn out. And there is no choice in the matter. Who needs TV help at 2 in the morning anyways.

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like you care about what employees have to say. If you did, you would not be forcing them to do things they not only don't wish to do and didn't sign up for, but in many instances are not able to. Instead, actually listen to employees and respect what they say. Don't hold HR meetings and ask for opinions if you are not gonna make changes in any big way. Your respect of employees should not be conditional. You should be giving it full on.
