    Ruthless and Cut Throat Management

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Chelmsford, MA
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Chelmsford, MA

I worked at Comcast (Less than a year)

Contractors were pleasant to work with at Comcast.

They will throw you out the door without warning Manager 1 hired me for Switching/Routing, CMTS, Optical Transport, and Project Management experience. My first day I was switched to a different manager(2) and group(Who did not interview me), and was not notified via email or phone call. The month of July Manager and employee were out on vacation or training 50% of the time. Manager comes back on vacation on a Monday end of the month of July. I get a call Monday night it wasn't working out and not to come back. So this shows how ruthless and unprofessional the management that Represents Comcast can be. Think twice before going there for a long-term contract position

    Advice to Management

Comcast HR does not care how their management treats and handles contractors. There was negligent misrepresentation caused to me and put me in a hardship since I left my full time job to go there for a Long-term contract position I was promised. To the managers it was just a miscommunication between them. To the contractor it was their lively hood and benefits for their family. HR should be aware of how and what happens with all employees that work in a Comcast office(Both Comcast and Contractors).
