Convergint – San Francisco, CA
Responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction by effectively executing all assigned Convergint Technologies projects. This is a line position… Convergint
I worked at Convergint (More than 5 years)
Their core values and beliefs are solid and central to their business practices. The company is solid in general, so more likely to grow and produce more opportunities. Good social conscience with impressive charitable events each year. Management tends to embrace best practices when they are presented. Compensation was market-comparable (often resulting in 10%+ raises to bring salaries up to market average).
Training is (or was) non-existent. Company sometimes fails to see where it doesn't live up to its own values. Discipline is rare and firings almost non-existent, which means many problem employees remain when they need to be gone. There are a few areas of company overreach where they should contract out tasks instead of trying to accomplish them in-house.
Advice to Management
Don't get too full of yourself or your culture. Ultimately, Convergint is just a place of employment and sometimes company spirit is just an annoyance/distraction. When there is a problem employee, start the documentation process immediately so you can fix/remove the problem. Add and priroritize training.
