I have been working at Cubic full-time

I'm a retired veteran so I don't have much experience with private sector companies. I do know that the HR staff was really helpful and everything seemed professional and efficient when I was hired on. Benefits are really good and pay is decent for my position. My co-workers have been really great as well.

Government contracts are just that. If the funding or position goes away, you are left high and dry. Because of this, contractors are always on the lookout for more permanent positions so the turnover rate is pretty high.

    Advice to Management

It may be easier said than done but I would say to try to give the contractors a better sense of job security if things should end abruptly with the current contracts and maybe some people would stay around longer and company loyalty would improve.
