I have been working at DAR full-time (More than 3 years)

People in individual offices become good friends and people have strong ties that last for years.

Management takes advantage of staff loyalties. Everyone is on their best behavior when the people making the rules are in the building so no one complains about the problems they are experiencing. The rule makers are virtually clueless, but incredibly sweet, so its difficult to be angry with them. Since all the decisions are made behind closed doors, its easier to blame upper management.

    Advice to Management

Transparency would do wonders for the organization. People are disgusted when they see the way the sausage is made only when they're first exposed to the factory. Once they get used to the smell and understand the purpose behind everything going into it, they calm down.
