Some pretty exciting and interesting work. Overall a pretty friendly work environment. Benefits are good and the work/life balance isn't too bad. Eventually going to flex scheduling. Potentially a promising future. Engineering management is very good and they are knowledgeable in their fields. Get to work a lot of different things and gain lots of experience quickly.
The job security isn't so great, but guess that is typical for any defense contractor when the president is a democrat. The pay below average, they base it on a pay band that is unfortunately low for the area due to surrounding very poor area. However cost of living in the immediate area is not low. Typical Bureaucracy with any defense contractor. Not much room for advancement due to it not being a very large company.
Advice to Management
Keep pursuing new opportunities and stay on the cutting edge of technology. Improve the BD department and focus on bringing in new work. Base pay rates on cost of living in immediate area not on pay band.
