Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital part of the DHMC alliance in Lebanon NH is a hospital with magnet recognition. The nurse residency program for new graduate RN's is among the best in the country. This is a cutting edge institute in a beautiful New England setting. DHMC offers many ways for its employees to advance. There is tuition reimbursment, and the ability to take out credit union loans for a first time degree that the facility will pay back if you choose to still work there. There is a small on-site fitness center, and the Hitchcock Employee Improvement Program offers many activities and programs to promote all aspects of employees well being. Nursing is overseen by a shared governance model, so everyones input counts. Full time employees get 36 days off a year.
The Salary could be more competitive. There is no paid maternity leave (even though it is a medical center) you must use your short term disability. In the past few years the yearly wage increases have been a bit shotty. Only 3% cost of living increase, which has caused a bit of upheaval among the staff, this eventually led to a small nursing salary increase. There is NO sign on bonus, where other facilities in the North East offer up to $12,000.00. The benefits package keeps getting tweaked, and employees are getting the short end of the stick. This is a medical center! We should have the best, most affordable Health Care benefits around!!!!

The benefits and salary packages need to be reviewed!!! For a cutting edge institution they need to be more competitive!
